Bahrain Bourse organizes a special event to honor TradeQuest finalists

Bahrain Bourse held an exclusive event on Saturday, April 21, 2018, to honor high school and university students who participated in the TradeQuest Program. The TradeQuest Award Ceremony, held under the patronage of Industry, Commerce, & Tourism minister H.E. Zayed bin Rashid Alzayani, was attended by big personalities including Mr. Abdulkareem Ahmed Bucheery, Chairman of Bahrain Bourse, and H.E. Rasheed Moh’d Al-Maraj, the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) Governor.
The finalists of the TradeQuest program were rewarded with a total of $79,570 (BHD 30,000) in cash.
The top-3 winners in the private school category are as follows:
Ibn Khuldoon National School at first place
St. Christopher’s School at the second spot
Al Noor International School at the third position
Meanwhile, the top-3 winners in the university category include the University of Bahrain, Royal University of Women, and BIBF on the first, second, and third positions respectively. “We are pleased to celebrate today the 20th Anniversary of the TradeQuest Program. I would like to thank H.E. Rasheed Al Maraj, Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain for his presence and support to the program across all these years, praising the support received from the top Government Officials as well as sponsors to ensure the success and sustainability of the program over the past years,” said H.E. Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain Bourse.
He added, “This demonstrates an incentive for us at Bahrain Bourse to continue the program and develop it further in the coming years.”
If you didn’t know, TradeQuest is a simulated business education partnership program designed to allow young students the access to a platform where they can learn the systems and regulations in place at Bahrain Bourse, as well as the New York Stock Exchange under a simulated environment.
