BIAC and The Institute of Finance conducted a training program on investment opportunities in the tech sector

The Business Incubators and Accelerators Company (BIAC) recently joined forces with the Institute of Finance to conduct a training program in Riyadh. The two-day program was aimed at better understanding and developing new solutions for the assessment of up and coming technology startups in the region.

Among various other important topics, the training program paid special attention to technology development, investment appraisal, and startup evaluation.

Primarily targeted at the financial sector and specialized investment institutes, the training program also encompassed a general overview of the evolution of Saudi Arabia’s startup ecosystem.

The participants discussed in details the different strategies that can be deployed as they evaluated financing and investment proposals from emerging companies and focused on practical case studies through the valuation of existing tech firms.

Overall, the program accomplished its objective of further developing the skill and knowledge base of professionals associated with the investment sector, while simultaneously educating them about the investment opportunities in the technology sector.
