C5 and Amazon Web Services (AWS) announce the Nebula Essay Competition - Technology’s impact on gender equality.

In collaboration with C5 Accelerate and Amazon Web Services, Nebula’s first essay competition has officially started. This exciting initiative invites female students and professional’s to learn about technology's potential for gender equality and women empowerment.
So who is eligible to apply? All Bahraini women that are university undergraduate or graduate students part of an accredited college, or university in Bahrain or abroad. Bahraini female professionals with a passion for tech and are over the age of 18 with are also able to compete in a separate category.
The competition began on the 9th of April and will end on April 30th. Two winners will be chosen to attend the AWS Public Sector Summit in Washington DC, with a once in a lifetime opportunity to spend time with members of the AWS executive team, as well as an opportunity to meet the team of C5 PeaceTech Accelerator. Now that sounds amazing! Nebula, C5’s “Women in tech” initiative was introduced back in September 2017 by Hadyah Fathalla Executive Director of C5 Accelerate, aims to motivate aspiring women technopreneurs to explore and create cloud-based products and solutions and excel in the tech field through support like mentorship, networking, and technology. Mr. Hassan Jarar CEO of Bahrain Islamic Bank, sponsoring the competition, said, "Providing Bahraini women equal opportunities in the workplace so that they advance their careers and contribute towards building a better Bahrain is an integral part of BisB strategy towards diversity and inclusion. BisB’s partnership with C5 is a modest contribution toward empowering Bahraini women."
The Essays will be judged based on the following criteria
Focus and, the main point
Support and, the argument
Organization and format
Content effectiveness, language use, and style
Neatness and structure
References
