Bahraini HealthTech startup Doctori announced earlier this week that it raised $500,000 in a seed funding round participated by multiple investors. The identities of the investors were not disclosed.

For those unfamiliar with the startup, Doctori was launched in 2018 by co-founders Ahmed Alawadhi and Ahmed Mahmood. It is licensed by the National Health Regulatory Authority to offer telemedicine services.

Doctori enables patients from all over the country to connect with and consult board certified doctors through video calls as per their requirements.

“We have worked to enter into partnerships with several associations in Bahrain, to provide free consultations to community members. We believe that this partnership will encourage community members to actively consult doctors and receive support and treatment as much as they need, indicating that the application provides easy and safe call consultations,” Ahmed Mahmoud, CEO of Doctori, recently said.

He added, “Between the patient and the doctor, the goal is to provide a complete digital solution and make the platform a comprehensive digital hospital, where patients can diagnose, test and treat in a stress-free environment anywhere, without having to wait in line."

Doctori plans on using the newly raised capital to further enhance its Doctor Who app, launched in April 2020 to provide medical care services for all sections of the society.
