HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, commanded the Minister of Interior Lt. General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, to prepare a draft resolution to create a new self-sponsorship residency permit for foreign investors. Under the new system, which is designed to strengthen Bahrain’s position as an investment destination, foreign investors will be able to obtain a 10-year, renewable residency permit on a self-sponsorship basis. H.E. Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Minister of Interior, proclaimed the importance of instilling the key pillars of Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 across all development areas. H.E. the Minister noted that government efforts to enhance public services in line with global best practices are aimed at supporting a conducive economic environment to secure growth and investment in key sectors.
